The second phase of Crystal Creek Subdivision

Few houses had been built in the city limits during the prior decade due to unavailability of affordable building sites. During this period over 200 units of subsidized housing had been built.
The challenge was to develop an established, planned and fully developed subdivision to encourage private homeownership and improve quality of life.
From the beginning, the concept was to build quality homes that would encourage a mix of incomes to reside in this subdivision. Through careful attention to detail, adequate funding and strong support from the Beattyville City Council, 43 lots were developed in 1997 with underground water, sewer, gas, and electricity to each site.
Additional lots are being developed for future clientele of Beattyville Housing and Development Corporation.

BHDC, working with USDA and Kentucky Housing Corporation funding can find ways of assisting elderly and disabled individuals to obtain accessible bathrooms, ramps, and homeowner modifications. These pictures are an example of some of the work performed over this past year.
COMING SOON....West Place Duplexes Phase 3
In 2012 BHDC will be building 4, one-bedroom duplexes on this site. The duplexes will have washer dryer hook-ups, stoves, and refrigerators. They will be located behind Phase 1 Duplexes and will be similar in style.
West Place Duplexes Phase 2...COMPLETED

West Place Duplexes Phase 2 were completed in February 2011 and all the duplexes have been rented out.
